Iran’s AEOI nuclear energy agency says the resolution agreed at last week’s meeting of the board of governors of the UN’s IAEA nuclear watchdog, which called on Tehran to “fully cooperate” with IAEA inspectors’ request for access to nuclear sites, was based on “fabricated and unreliable documents.”
AEOI spokesman Behrouz Kamalvandi said 20 June that IAEA requests for access to two sites in Iran were based on “fake information and documents…acquired through espionage” by Israel. Mr Kamalvandi’s statement refers to the April 2018 claim by Israel’s prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu that Israeli agents had stolen many records from Iran’s nuclear archive showing Iran had in the past been working on nuclear weapons.
