Despite oil blockades, Covid-19 and weak security, Libyan oil firm Agoco says it is pushing ahead with a number of long-running projects. The National Oil Corporation (NOC) subsidiary says it has completed a 20,000 b/d expansion project on its section of the Nafoora field located in the Sirte Basin after the tie in of three wells from the ‘O’ satellite structure.

“This marks the completion of the development of discovered fields in Nafoora,” Agoco says in a Facebook post from earlier this month. Agoco had already brought structures K, L and Y on stream as part of the project. Late last year it said it had added almost 10,000 b/d from two wells on structure Y (MEES, 3 January).
