Korea imported a record 720,000mn tons of LNG from the USA in January, having taken record crude volumes from the US just a month earlier.
Overall Korean imports of 3.83mn tons for January were down on the record 4.73mn tons set just a month earlier as the world’s third largest importer ended 2018 with total imports of 44.3mn tons, up 18% year-on-year (MEES, 1 February).
