ExxonMobil’s highly-anticipated end-2018 drilling of the ‘Delphine’ prospect on Cyprus’ deepwater Block 10 failed to find commercial volumes of gas. The Stena Icemax drillship has now moved on to the ‘Glaucus’ prospect to the northeast, also on Block 10 but closer to Eni’s January 2018 Calypso discovery on Block 6 (see map).

Exxon (60%op) and 40% partner QP say they will make an official announcement on drilling results in March after the completion of Glaucus drilling. Delphine was drilled to a depth of over 5,000ms in water depth of 1,970ms. Glaucus is somewhat shallower, being drilled to a depth of 4,000ms. (CONTINUED - 216 WORDS)
