On 5 October Cyprus belatedly launched a tender for the construction of an offshore LNG import terminal, originally scheduled for the first quarter of 2018. The tender document calls for the “procurement of a floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU), of at least 125,000m³ storage capacity.”

The regasification capacity has not been made public, but similar size FSRUs typically have regasification capacity of around 5bcm/y (480mn cfd; 3.7mn t/y). (CONTINUED - 1045 WORDS)
