Jordan’s fiscal position has improved with the finalization of a promised $812mn aid package from the US to the cash-strapped kingdom.

Planning Minister Imad Fakhury and Jim Barnhart, Jordan mission chief at USAID, on 3 December signed a cash support grant for $475mn under the Economic Support Fund for Jordan for 2017.
