The Sadara JV of state petroleum firm Saudi Aramco and US firm Dow Chemical has announced the production of commercial quantities of on-specification liquid polymeric methylene diphenyl diisocayanate (PMDI) and butyl glycidil ether (BGE) – both new products to Saudi Arabia.

The key PMDI plant is the Middle East’s first to manufacture a chemical used in producing polyurethanes – an in-demand product giving access for the first time to a group of chemicals whose use is growing rapidly in the global automotive and other markets. (CONTINUED - 802 WORDS)
