Israel’s Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu needs to consult the country’s parliamentary (Knesset) Economics Committee as a final hurdle, before he is able to implement Article 52 of the country’s anti-trust law, enabling the passage of a gas outline seen as essential to rebooting the country’s upstream.
The controversial article enables the normal monopoly rules to be bypassed in the name of “national security.”
