Iraq’s oil ministry on 15 August announced it was adding five more names to the list of pre-qualified international firms for its planned integrated 300,000 b/d Nasiriya refinery and field development project.

Only one of the five, Russia’s Rosneft, prequalified for both the upstream and downstream section of the project, the cost of which has been estimated at $9bn and includes 600MW of associated power generation (MEES, 23 April 2012). (CONTINUED - 316 WORDS)
