In a week of political tumult, Gulf independents are reporting positive developments from their Egyptian operations. Kuwait Energy Company (KEC) reported on 30 June the latest in a growing list of successes at its East Ras Qattara asset (KEC 49.5%, operated by Chilean state firm ENAP 50.5%). The completion of the Shahd South East-06 development well has added around 4,800 b/d to production, boosting overall field output to 21,000 b/d.
