RWE Dea is facing strong headwinds in the Middle East as its parent company is preparing the sale of the oil and gas subsidiary.

The German power provider RWE has been hit by a lawsuit over the failure to build a gas pipeline in Iraq’s autonomous Kurdish Region Government (KRG), with a UAE-based gas producer in the KRG suing for an astronomical $53bn.
