The Kuwait Gulf Oil Company (KGOC) and Aramco Gulf Operations Company (KGOC) operate the offshore area of the Partitioned Neutral Zone (PNZ) through the Khafji Joint Operations (KJO) joint venture. The two companies updated their 2010 Khafji Joint Operations Agreement during a signing ceremony on the sidelines of this week’s Kuwait Oil and Gas Show, although details on its terms have not been provided.

The update comes as the partners prepare the next stages for the joint development of the Dorra offshore gas field. The KJO partners have completed FEED for the 20tcf project, which is expected to produce 1bn cfd of gas and 84,000 b/d condensate by the end of the decade. Kuwait’s oil minister Tariq al-Roumi told Reuters on 2 February that he expects EPC tenders will be issued this year. (CONTINUED - 162 WORDS)
