TotalEnergies’ strategy of prioritizing investments in low-cost MENA barrels is bearing fruit, with net output from the region continuing to set new records. Net MENA liquids output for 2025 of 681,000 b/d was up 37,000 b/d on the previous year’s record (see chart) both in absolute terms and as a share of its global portfolio (44.4%).

TotalEnergies has the largest upstream footprint of any IOC in the MENA region, and its oil output continues to set annual records. More growth is incoming, and CEO Patrick Pouyanné wants to expand the company’s presence to every country in the region.
