The Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) has awarded two contracts to Egyptian contractor Elsewedy Electric T&D to connect the under-construction 4.8GW El Dabaa nuclear power plant to the grid. The contracts cover new 500kV transmission lines.

Elsewedy said the turnkey project covers two sections of roughly 130km each and has a 15-month execution period. The works will loop the Borg El Arab-Wadi El Natrun 500kV double-circuit line into and out of the El Dabaa substation. (CONTINUED - 682 WORDS)
