Aramco is investing heavily in expanding gas production, planning to increase output by 80% against 2021 levels by 2030. The additional gas will support the government’s economic growth plans, but Aramco is confident that the investment is a lucrative opportunity for the company in its own right.

“The Company’s integrated gas program, which includes gas as well as associated liquids, is expected to reach around 6 million barrels of oil equivalent per day by 2030, potentially generating $12-15 billion in incremental operating cash flow compared with 2024 levels,” Aramco’s EVP of Gas Abdulkarim al-Ghamdi told MEES earlier this year (MEES, 9 January).
