Egypt’s imports of piped Israeli gas dropped by 9% in November to 730mn cfd, preliminary data obtained by MEES shows. It is the lowest since June’s 562mn cfd when both the 1.2bn cfd Leviathan and 600mn cfd Karish fields were shut-in for precautionary reasons during the 12-day Israel-Iran war (MEES, 4 July 2025).
October volumes were already down year on year at 797mn cfd according to the latest Jodi data as the 1.0bn cfd Tamar was shutdown to undergo maintenance as part of ongoing expansion work to raise capacity to 1.2bn cfd (MEES, 24 October 2025). November volumes dropped further as Leviathan, which is also undergoing expansion to 1.4bn cfd, was also briefly shut-in (MEES, 14 November 2025). (CONTINUED - 191 WORDS)
