Chinese state firm China Petroleum Pipeline Engineering Company (CPECC) has signed a $513mn contract with Adnoc Gas for construction of key gas pipelines for the 9.6mn t/y Ruwais LNG export terminal project. CPECC was announced as the contract winner in January (MEES, 10 January), and the firm confirmed on 22 September that it has now signed an EPC contract for the project with Adnoc Gas.
The work involves construction of a 25.8km, 56-inch diameter gas pipeline, and a 1,154.7 km, 52-inch diameter gas pipeline, which will deliver gas feedstock from Adnoc Gas’s processing facilities at Habshan to Ruwais (see map). CPECC will also install the accompanying fiber optic cables, 31 trenchless crossings, three pipeline stations, and six valve stations, CPECC says. (CONTINUED - 426 WORDS)
