The 750mn cfd Energos Eskimo floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) received its first LNG cargo on 15 July, doubling Egypt’s regasification capacity to 1.5bn cfd ahead of a busy summer period. The coming weeks should see a further two FSRUs hooked-up to the country’s gas grid, taking overall capacity to 2.7bn cfd (MEES, 11 July).
