On 29 April at the annual Oman Sustainability Week, Oman’s self-styled orchestrator of green hydrogen projects Hydrom awarded two more plots of land in the country’s southern Dhofar region (see map).
Two More Hydrogen Projects Awarded in Oman’s South
Oman awarded two more green hydrogen projects worth 378,000 t/y bringing total awards to 1.38mn t/y, well within the range of the sultanate’s 1-1.5mn t/y 2030 target. But the near-absence of financing or offtake agreements mean that actually developing anything close to this target remains an uphill task.
