London-listed Greek firm Energean says its Karish project offshore northern Israel, which started up in October 2022, produced 4.40bcm for 2023 for an average of 426mn cfd. But though Energean previously said that production was running at around 600mn cfd and repeated in its 18 January update that “day-to-day production remains unimpacted as a result of the ongoing geopolitical developments,” the average Q4 output figure of 485mn cfd is well down on Q3’s record 517mn cfd.

Energean says the Q4 output dip came “primarily as a result of the planned six-day shutdown in early December to enable the hook-up of the Karish North well and second gas export riser.” (CONTINUED - 757 WORDS)
