Iraq’s Midlands Refining Company (MORC) has denied that its new 140,000 b/d Karbala refinery is offline.
The plant initially started up in April but it has struggled to produce on-spec gasoil and was taken offline earlier this month after corrosion was found in heat exchangers near its CDU (MEES, 9 June).
