Saudi Arabia’s 300MW Rabigh solar PV plant has been connected to the grid and is now operational. The plant was developed by a consortium of Japan’s Marubeni and local partner Al Jomaih under a 2021 award as part of the second phase of the National Renewable Energy Program (NREP) (MEES, 16 April 2021).

EPC contractor Energy China Guangdong Thermal Power announced on 23 April that the plant has been connected to the grid and is expected to generate 894GWh this year. Satellite imagery of the project confirms that development of a 5km² solar plant is complete. (CONTINUED - 191 WORDS)
