Iranian Oil Minister Javad Owji says that the country’s oil exports soared by 83mn barrels (227,400 b/d) for the 2022-23 Iranian year (to 20 March) and were up a massive 190mn (520,000 b/d) on 2020-21.

Whilst he gave no absolute numbers, Mr Owji’s comments to Radio Eghtesad on 24 March imply crude and condensate exports of well above 1mn b/d.
