Officials from Iraq’s semi-autonomous Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) have been in Baghdad for the past two weeks conducting meetings with their federal peers in an effort to revive talks to draft a mutually acceptable federal oil and gas law.

If successful, the meetings could help resolve some of the differences on key articles of the law which Iraqi PM Mohammed al-Sudani promised to enact within six months of taking office last October (MEES, 7 October 2022). (CONTINUED - 1773 WORDS)
