Kuwait’s cabinet issued a directive effective 1 September ordering the dissolution of current boards of major government entities in preparation for “a new era with new leadership” according to local daily al-Qabas. The decision will not affect “recently formed boards,” which means state oil firm KPC will not be impacted.

Qabas lists the country’s Central Agency for Public Tenders (CAPT) as one of the agencies to see its board overhauled. CAPT is in charge of awarding public projects – including on behalf of KPC subsidiaries. (CONTINUED - 212 WORDS)
