UAE-based independent Dana Gas says drilling will begin later this month on the first of “4-5 development wells planned for the remainder of 2022” as part of its $630mn ‘KM250’ expansion of Iraqi Kurdistan’s Khor Mor gas project from 450mn cfd to 700mn cfd.

Output from Khor Mor, which is operated by Dana Gas and Crescent Petroleum on behalf of the Pearl Consortium (Dana Gas 35%, Crescent Petroleum 35%, OMV 10%, Mol 10%, RWE 10%), was 437mn cfd for Q1, just below the quarterly record of 439mn cfd hit in Q1 2021.
