UAE-based independent Dana Gas notched up record profits of $317mn for 2021 despite its output falling by 2% to 62,100 boe/d. Production, predominantly gas, is split between Iraqi Kurdistan and Egypt.

Kurdistan output comes from Dana’s 35% stake in the Khor Mohr field which is operated by Dana and affiliate Crescent Petroleum on behalf of the Pearl consortium. Net output rose 5% to a record 33,800 boe/d for 2021, implying 96,000 boe/d for Khor Mohr as a whole: 420mn cfd gas, 14,900 b/d condensate and 11,700 b/d LPG. Khor Mohr’s processing facilities are being expanded from 440mn cfd to 690mn cfd by 2Q 2023, whilst a new gas pipeline towards the Turkish border will provide a market for further expansion (MEES, 11 February). On a monthly basis Khor Mor output hit a record 452mn cfd for December. (CONTINUED - 348 WORDS)
