Israel’s two refineries recovered from 2020’s multi-year lows, to post combined output figures of 269,200 b/d, up 6% year-on-year (MEES, 9 April 2021). There was a temporary dip in output in Q2 following a CCR unit outage at Israel’s largest refinery, the 197,000 b/d Bazan (ORL) plant at Haifa (MEES, 9 July 2021), but output rebounded strongly to hit 289,000 b/d for Q4, level with the last full ‘pre-Covid’ quarter of Q4 2019 though down on average 2019 figures (see chart 1).
