Amman and Baghdad have renewed an agreement for Jordan to import around 10,000 b/d of Kirkuk crude from Iraq. Volumes are normally trucked to Jordan’s Zarqa refinery. Exports began in August 2019 but were halted for almost nine months from November 2020, and were again halted in February and March amid negotiations over an extension. Volumes are supplied at a generous $16/B discount to Brent. In comparison, Kirkuk exports for April to Europe from Turkey’s Ceyhan port are priced at a $0.55/B premium to Brent.
