Chinese state-owned CNOOC has hiked production to 300,000 b/d at its Missan cluster (Buzurgan, Abu Gharib and Fakka) fields in Iraq. The firm told Chinese state daily Global Times on 16 November that it is now pumping at maximum capacity from the cluster.

This means that CNOOC has completed the planned 100,000 b/d capacity addition required of it by the cluster’s owner, Oil Ministry subsidiary Missan Oil Company (MOC) before the end of 2022.
