Uniper is seeking a buyer for its 67,000 b/d Fujairah refinery which supplies bunkering fuel to the local market. Multiple sources have confirmed that the facility is up for sale, but potential buyers have been taking a cautious approach as they have waited to see the impact of Kuwait’s Al Zour refinery on the regional bunkering market.

The two-train topping plant started commercial operations in 2017, and Uniper says it has “the capacity to produce about 5mn t/y of marine fuels with sulfur content as low as 0.1% and up to IMO 2020 specifications [0.5%].” (CONTINUED - 698 WORDS)
