Egypt’s key Western Desert producer, Apache of the US, saw its regional output slump to a new 12-year low of 232,800 boe/d for Q2. Oil at 136,400 b/d for Q2 was actually up fractionally (0.1%) on Q1’s nadir, but gas fell further, by 4.1% from Q1 to just 578mn cfd, the lowest figure since Q1 2009 (see chart 1).
