A key gas expansion project in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq is back underway after being disrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic. Construction of a 250mn cfd gas processing train at the Khor Mor field has restarted, with a new targeted completion date of April 2023.

Dana Gas announced on 26 April that an agreement has now been reached with the KRG and the contractor to lift force majeure on the project, which had been in force since 2Q 2020 (MEES, 14 August 2020). Dana operates the 440mn cfd Khor Mor gas-condensate field alongside Crescent Petroleum on behalf of the Pearl Consortium (Dana Gas 35%, Crescent Petroleum 35%, OMV 10%, Mol 10%, RWE 10%).
