*Egypt’s crude output edged up to 474,000 b/d for October, with the key Western Desert producing region also up at 243,000 b/d (275,000 b/d including condensate). A ramp up in activity by key producer Apache ahead of the approval of new contract terms looks to be beginning to have an impact.

*Apache in its Q3 results on 4 November said that it has already increased its Western Desert rig count to 11 from five earlier this year and plans to further increase activity next year (MEES, 12 November).
