Egypt gas output hit a record monthly high of 7.193bn cfd for September including a record 5.274bn cfd for the key offshore Mediterranean region.

Both Egypt as a whole (7.069bn cfd) and the Mediterranean (5.185bn cfd) also notched up quarterly records for Q3 (see chart 1), helped by the Eni-operated 21.5tcf Zohr field which saw output rebound 6% to 2.76bn cfd for Q3, following a number of outages that forced an output dip in Q2 (MEES, 16 July).
