Of Iraq’s 2.7bn cfd of gross gas output, some 75% comes from Basrah province, 2.05bn cfd for August. And within this the Basrah Gas Company JV (state South Gas Company 51%, Shell 44%, Mitsubishi 5%) is critically important for Iraq’s gas supply needs.
