Kuwait’s state refiner KNPC is preparing to export its first shipment of petroleum coke from Mina al-Ahmadi refinery, the first of Kuwait’s two refineries to be completed under a $12bn clean fuels project (CFP) that is expanding crude distillation and upgrading capacity.

Official news agency Kuna reported on 22 May that a shipment of 15 metric tons of coke was loaded onto the Russian-flagged bulk carrier Pola Elisaveta at Shuaiba Seaport. Vessel tracker Marine Traffic showed the ship still moored at Shuaiba on 29 May, with no destination given. (CONTINUED - 604 WORDS)
