Tunisia’s 85mn cfd OMV-led Nawara gas project finally started up on 5 February. Prime Minister Youssef Chahed hails the project as a “game-changer,” and it might well have been if it wasn’t delayed by several years.

Twelve years have passed since Nawara was first conceived, and in that time, Tunisia’s oil and gas fortunes have drastically gone downhill.
