Algeria’s key 2019 gas start-up, the 4.5bcm/y Touat project in the country’s far southwest, is set to see commercial production “by the end of June” and “hit plateau production early in the third quarter,” operator Neptune Energy says in its Q1 results on 29 May.
“Touat received first gas during February, with fuel gas provided for the turbines. The project is now in the final commissioning phase and we expect first export gas in June. Production is expected to ramp up quickly, hitting plateau early in the second half of 2019,” Neptune says.
Touat is slated to provide the key boost to Neptune’s overall net output for 2H 2019, with the firm guiding 155,000 boe/d for 2019 as a whole, up from 151,800 boe/d for Q1. (CONTINUED - 349 WORDS)
