With throughputs at Qatar’s two 146,000 b/d condensate splitters now maxed out for the first time, volumes available for export have fallen from over 500,000 b/d to 400,000 b/d. Qatari condensates exports are now lower than those of neighboring Iran, which claims to be exporting 450,000 b/d.

Highlighting the limitations of the ongoing embargo imposed by neighboring Saudi Arabia, UAE and Bahrain, Qatari products exports rose to a near-record in the third quarter, compensating for the fall in direct exports of condensate as Qatar captured greater value from its wellhead output.
