Newly appointed PM Sharif Isma’il has formed a new interim cabinet ahead of next month’s parliamentary elections. Replacing him as Oil Minister is Tarek El Molla, former head of the EGPC (see above). Mr Molla worked for US firm Chevron between 1987 and 2010 before joining the foreign trade department of the EGPC until August 2013 when he was made head of the organization. Key ministries such as finance, foreign affairs, defense, interior and justice have retained their ministers.
