The EBRD and French development institution Proparco are each lending Jordan $50mn to build three solar PV plants at Ma’an in the south of the country. This takes recent regional solar loans to $670mn.

The three plants will have a combined 40MW capacity and will be built by Norway’s Scatec Solar, with local partners European Jordanian Renewable Energy Projects, Greenland Alternative Energy and Quest Energy Investments. (CONTINUED - 284 WORDS)
