UK mini-major BG has again downgraded its production forecasts on the back of Egyptian delays, having made a previous major downgrade only seven months ago (MEES, 14 February).

For 2014, BG anticipates that delays to the next phase, 9a, of its giant West Delta Deep Marine (WDDM) project “due to the on-going political and social instability in Egypt” (together with Norwegian delays) will lead its production to undershoot by around 30,000 b/d of oil equivalent (boe/d).
