The US major will not complete its technical study of its steam injection pilot in the First Eocene at Wafra until 3Q14, CEO of state-owned Kuwait Gulf Oil Company (KGOC), ‘Ali al-Shammari says. The front-end engineering and design (FEED) study will likely begin in the 1Q16, he adds. This would push back a final investment decision (FID) until the start of 2017 at the earliest.
