Operations at the $4.5bn Total-led Yemen LNG liquefaction plant have ground to a halt for the fifth time this year after Yemeni insurgents bombed its feeder gas pipeline around 35km north of the Balhaf terminal in the country’s south.

The 320km pipeline carrying gas from Block 18 in Yemen’s Marib province to the terminal was attacked by saboteurs on 25 September, believed to have links with the regional wing of al-Qa’ida, known as al-Qa’ida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP). No casualties were reported. (CONTINUED - 295 WORDS)
