Korean engineering firm Doosan Enerbility announced on 21 August that it had signed a contract to build the 1.7GW Misfah combined-cycle power plant in Oman. It expects to complete the project by April 2029 for a total contract cost of $678mn.The project is being developed by Oman’s Bahwan Infrastructure Services, Qatar’s Nebras Energy, Korea’s Kowepo, and UAE firm EtihadWE (MEES, 23 January).
