Energean has completed commissioning the second oil train on its Energean Power FPSO at Israel’s 4.3tcf Karish project, significantly increasing the facility’s liquids processing. The company said on 22 July that the oil train entered service on 13 July, increasing liquids processing capacity from 18,000 b/d to 31,000 b/d. It has already “successfully tested production rates of up to 21,000 b/d” and intends to test higher production rates following completion of subsea tie-in works for the nearby 1.2tcf Katlan development, scheduled for August. Katlan is due onstream in 2027 (MEES, 28 November 2025).
Chief Executive Mathios Rigas said the upgrade would “unlock materially higher Brent-linked liquids production from Karish, increasing cash flow generation while maintaining safe and reliable operations.” (CONTINUED - 172 WORDS)
