Recent weeks have seen notable progress for Saudi Arabia’s two planned green hydrogen projects.
The most advanced facility is the 237,000 t/y Neom green hydrogen plant, being developed by the Neom Green Hydrogen Company (NGHC) joint venture between Neom, Saudi firm Acwa and the US’ Air Products. Production is due to start next year and will be converted to ammonia for overseas sales. Air Products agreed to be the sole offtaker, but now plans to reach an agreement with fertilizer giant Yara for marketing (MEES, 6 February). (CONTINUED - 213 WORDS)
