Egyptian state engineering firm Enppi was awarded the $355mn contract for the Birba Budour Integrated Project by Omani state firm Petroleum Development Oman (PDO). It marks its first project in Oman for the Egyptian contractor, and is due online in 2030.

The project will increase gas processing capacity at the Birba Gathering Station from 1.4mn m3/d (49mn cfd) to 4.2mn m3/d (148mn cfd). Enppi says the project will also optimize the gas processing system to minimize flaring while keeping oil processing capacity at 4,000 m3/d (~25,000 b/d). The Birba Gathering Station is in the south of Oman’s massive Block 6 (EDO 60%, Shell 34%, Total 4%, PTTEP 2%) which is operated by PDO. (CONTINUED - 164 WORDS)
