Israel’s third producing gas plant, Karish, is being brought back online. Operator Energean announced on 9 April that it “received notice from the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, permitting the safe restart and resumption of production and operations at its Energean Power FPSO.” The FPSO processes gas and liquids from the 4.3tcf Karish project, offshore Israel.
The field, along with the Chevron-operated 22.4tcf Leviathan, was shut in on 28 February for precautionary reasons as Israel and the US launched their offensive against Iran (MEES, 6 March). Leviathan was ordered to restart on 2 April (MEES, 3 April). (CONTINUED - 185 WORDS)
